The Common Three Prong Weight Loss Program

There have been many people who have attempted to sell weight loss schemes over the years that look great on the surface, but are really just sleight of hand tricks designed to fool people who are not very familiar with how weight loss works. For example, many, many diets over the years that have been commercialized revolve around an initial water weight loss that people mistakenly believe is fat.

When it comes to a weight loss program that actually works, there is only one three prong attack for will lead to the elimination of unwanted body fat. That three prong weight loss program includes diet, cardio and strength training. When all three of these are combined, weight loss is eminent.

Proper diet includes eating the proper intake of carbs, protein and fat in a decent calorie amount per day. By cutting away unnecessary calories, the body will used up its stored calories (fat) so as to make up the difference.

What weight loss program would be complete without cardio or aerobic workouts? By working up a sweat, the body increases its calorie burning to meet the task of the extra activity. This acts in the same was as dieting as it burns up stored fat leading to weight loss.

Strength training is a subject that could take up several volumes and, if one swings by a local book store, one will realize that there have been several volumes written on the subject. In a nutshell, strength training is a great weight loss program because it involves increasing lean muscle mass which must metabolize calories to maintain its mass. This, of course, continues the theme of the body burning stored fat.

Individually, these are all good weight loss programs. When put together into a combined cross training workout, the body’s fat stores will literally disappear.
